I love the passing of time

This is another of the 2009 calendars that hang in my home.

This one lives just for my ON line life.
It is designated for blogging and working and such.
I love it. And I love me some Daisy Jane!

and i saved it for such a long time

It is a wrinkly old page from some long lost home improvement magazine, but it has the most perfect kitchen island end cap. I want this. I wanted it so many years ago when we shared our first characterless apartment. I want it still. Can you see how cool it is even with the crinkles? Joe is so building this.

It looks amazing and I am in love with the room divider.

Bill's grandpa's island house

Kinda intrigued by the apartment therapy slide show of Bill's Grandpa's rustic island home.
Who is this grandpa?
He seems pretty cool.
I love the drying rack above that gorgeous vintage stove!
I love that the home has no running water and electricity still!
So charming.
I could so see a goodbye to summer party there!
Candles and lanterns and old galvanized buckets of drinks!
Ah- summer when you leave us you make me sad.

Get Some Glue and DIY some Art!

I stared at the Anthropologie window display at Easton. I was loving it and hating it at once and then I thought more about it and decided it would be a great way to have some fun and cover an unsightly wall or cool to hang as a key holder.
I see others feel the same way. I was reading Apartment therapy today and saw this. I heart Apartment Therapy. They are always right on it! They are always kick ass.

I have been neglecting this wee home. It is kind of cruddy to face the facts that there is no cash to do much to the house at the present. We are crossing fingers and toes that the other house sells so we can get rolling on some major projects. I have been lucky enough to find some free home decor items though- thanks garbage and dear granny. I love my new mirror and stool.
