The mud is nearly dry and then we can sand and paint and stain and varnish! Yahoo. The mantle is going to be dark like our sambuca floor. I think I am starting to tremble with the anticipation of being able to place a photograph on the wood or hang a stocking soon. It's beginning to resemble a real room...a room full of a family.
